Description

Aggressive brush with bridle. Excellent for heavy-duty brushing such as deburring, cleaning, derusting and descaling, as well as removing spatter on large areas.

Steel wire is the most common filament material. Brushes with steel wire as the filament material are especially well-suited to work on surfaces and deburring. PFERD special wire has high tensile strength and bending fatigue strength. This ensures that the wire wears down in the optimal way, as well as a long tool life, even in extreme brushing applications.

Steel wire withstands temperatures up to 300 °C.

Advantages
  • Aggressive brushing effect due to the very stiff wire knots.
  • The bridle prevents the wires spreading out sideways.
  • Particularly long tool life.
  • The bridle enables the spreading out and flexibility of the brush filament to be controlled.
  • If the filament has worn away down to the bridle, it can be removed from the bridle for further use. This does not affect the brushing behaviour.
  • Long tool life through use of PFERD special wire.
Recommendations for use
  • Please observe the recommended rotational speeds.
  • For optimum results, use on powerful angle grinders.
  • Remove the bridle once the filament is worn down. Then the rest of the filament can be used.
  • Remove the bridle before starting work if you would like to achieve a large spreading diameter or access hard-to-reach areas.
